GENERAL STATEMENT OF POLICY
Kathrens Holdings Ltd / WK Plasterers Ltd & Carbis Properties Ltd
This Group Policy aims, so far as it is reasonably practicable, to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, vehicles, plant, equipment and safe systems of work for all employees and provide all relevant instruction, information, training and supervision as they need to carry out their daily work activities. The Group accepts, so far as is reasonably practicable, its responsibility for the health and safety of other people who may be affected by our activities, as required by The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974: believing that health and safety should have as equal importance with quality, cost, and customer service and welfare issues. The Group will take all reasonably practical steps to meet with their responsibilities by paying particular attention to:
1. To establish and maintain a positive safety culture within the Group.
2. The allocation of duties for safety matters and any specific arrangements are set out within this policy. 3. It is the responsibility of all operatives and other employees to perform their assigned duties safely by following established safe working procedures, using proper safety equipment and by reporting or correcting unsafe acts or conditions.
4. Suitable arrangements shall be made to ensure that all employees or their representatives are given every facility for consulting with management in promoting and developing measures to ensure the health and safety at work of all employees.
5. The provision of a safe place of work and environment, which has safe access and does not present a risk to health. 6. The provision of instruction, information, training and supervision to enable all employees and sub-contractors to avoid injury and contribute positively to their own safety and health at work. 7. The provision of suitable and sufficient welfare facilities and arrangements for Group employees. 8. The provision and maintenance of plant, vehicles and systems of work that are safe and without risks to health. 9. Suitable arrangements for the use, handling, storage and transportation of articles and substances.
10. This policy can only be successful with the active co-operation of all operatives and other employees.
11. To keep the policy up to date, as the business changes in nature and size. To ensure this, the policy and the way in which the Group is operated will be reviewed annually. 12. Ensuring that all operations carried out, shall be executed at all times in a safe manner, so that persons, not in The Group employment, who may be affected by such works, are not exposed to hazards or risks that may affect to their health and safety. The overall responsibility for the implementation of this policy is vested in W.M. Kathrens

Kathrens Holdings was formed in 2007 as a Holding company for WK Plasterers Ltd and it's associate Company,Carbis Properties Ltd. WK Plasterers Ltd was set up in 1971 providing operatives to the Volume New Build Sector.
The Group has then developed further by adding the subsiduaries, KEEBS & Carbis Partnership Homes.
Through recent years the company has pushed into new areas of trade with a key emphasis on the Enhancement And Upgrading of Traditional Build Systems by using novel and innovative solutions.
All Operations are orchestrated from Head Office based in Pontypridd South Wales with a annual turnover in excess of 14 million a year and over 6 million of assets Kathrens Holdings has forged a strong position within its core activity within South Wales and West of England.
